Contours of Expression
We are delighted to share some photos of the group exhibition Contours of Expression at Whitestone Gallery, Hong Kong.
This exhibition brings together artists spanning different generations and practices: post-war Japanese artist Tsuyoshi Maekawa (b. 1936), celebrated painter Tetsuo Mizù (1944 – 2025), contemporary duo Julie & Jesse (established 2012), and emerging talent Kohei Kyomori (b. 1985) — whose practices challenge traditional boundaries through a vibrant expression of contour and composition.
The exhibition aims to celebrate how lines and shapes, as fundamental elements of artistic expressions, reflect each artists’ unique approach.
